Yesterday,I have shared you about the Redesigned Twitter homepage and now it’s YouTube finally launched its video page redesign this week, only for the site to go down replaced by the words: “Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.”

                       In the new designed form,the main change are about Video Controlling and Shaving Options and the new save options introduced.Your Favourite video,you can watch now in your size and Added thisButton to make you video wider as much as you want.And for full size the previous Button is given in side.
               The Rating Sustem is removed and Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down are replaced at the place of Five Star Rating on behalf of You Like or dislike.
                A Subscribe Button is placed on the every video to subscribe the video and along with it you can see no. of related videos just in left side.Save,Sharing and Embed options are below the video.
The Save to button will allow you to:

Save to Favorites
Save to an existing Playlist
Create a new Playlist to save to

Video Description-
The video’s description has now moved here – underneath the video. Clicking on the highlighted area brings up more video information, such as “Category” and “Tags”. Try it!

JOURNALIST IN CHINA SAYS THAT YAHOO ACCOUNT HACKED

Yahoo e-mail accounts belonging to foreign journalists appeared to have been hacked and Google’s Chinese search engine was intermittently blocked because of an internal change Tuesday, the latest troubles in China’s heavily censored Internet market.
                     The Yahoo Inc. accounts of at least three journalists and an analyst became inaccessible over the last few weeks. They were greeted with messages saying, “We’ve detected an issue with your account” and were told to contact Yahoo, they said Tuesday. Yahoo technicians told one of the four that his account had been hacked and restored his access, but it was not clear if the other instances were related.
                      Sensitivity about Internet security has run high since Google Inc. announced in January it might leave China after a series of cyberattacks and complaints about censorship. Last week, Google made a partial retreat, shutting down its mainland-based search engine and redirecting those queries offshore, to the freer Chinese territory of Hong Kong.
                       Analysts have been watching closely to see if China retaliates for Google’s high-profile departure from the mainland search engine market.
                       Many redirected queries appeared blocked Tuesday on the Hong Kong-based search engine. Although searches for benign terms were met with results on Chinese competitors such as Baidu.com and Soso.com, an error page would pop up when the same terms were typed into Google.com.hk.
                      Google blamed the trouble on an internal revision made in an effort to deliver the best search results.
                       But the intended upgrade backfired in mainland China, where it collided with the country’s “Great Firewall” — the nickname for the tools the government uses to block access to sites deemed to subversive or pornographic.
                       The new settings inserted a string of characters that included “rfa” into Web site addresses. China’s Great Firewall apparently interpreted those letters as attempts to reach Radio Free Asia, one of the sites on the government’s forbidden list.
                        Google said it was working on a solution to the problem.
Web searches weren’t the only Google service bogging down in China. The company reported that access to its mobile services in the country were “partially blocked” this week after experiencing no issues last week. Google didn’t provide a reason for the mobile disruption.
                         It was not clear where problems with the Yahoo e-mail accounts originated. All four people affected are professionally focused on China and related issues. They said they had heard of other colleagues having similar problems, including one journalist who lost his Yahoo account entirely in January.
Clifford Coonan, China correspondent for The Independent and the Irish Times newspapers, said he received the “issue with your account” notice when he logged in Tuesday. Another reporter said she received repeated error messages from Yahoo last month.
The Western analyst said he was locked out of his account for four or five days, until he spoke with a Yahoo representative Monday who went through the security questions and restarted it.
“He said somebody had hacked into my registration details,” said the analyst, who would not give his name, citing the sensitivity of the issue. The analyst said he was concerned hackers may have also accessed his inbox.
Yahoo, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., issued a statement Tuesday condemning all hacking attacks and vowed to “take appropriate action in the event of any kind of breach.”
Coonan wondered whether he was just part of a broad attack against Yahoo’s e-mail accounts, or if he had been specifically targeted.
“I’d just be interested to see if anyone in the business community or outside of journalism and academia has had the same problem, then it might be less sinister,” he said. “It’s obviously annoying but if it’s just journalists and academics, that’s scary.”

ORACLE WILL MAKE CHANGES IN SOLARIS AND JAVA

The future for Sun Microsystems‘ Solaris operating system and Java programming language are beginning to crystallize at Oracle, which completed its acquisition of Sun earlier this year.
                   Among other things, Solaris is expected to morph from a formerly free and totally open-source product to one that requires the purchase of a license after an initial 90-day trial, according to media reports.
                    Oracle executives have said the company will continue to make OpenSolaris available as an open-source product — as well as actively support and participate in the open-source community. But there are also hints of a new hybrid strategy under which certain Solaris components could feature proprietary code.
                  “There may be some things we choose not to open source going forward,” said Oracle Director of Solaris Product Management Dan Roberts earlier this month. “It’s important to understand the plan now is to deliver value again out of our IP investment, while at the same time measuring that with continuing to deliver OpenSolaris in the open.”

Hard-nosed Decisions
Industry observers don’t think the addition of a license fee for Solaris will stop enterprises from adopting the OS. The danger, however, is that any move away from an open-source implementation may discourage participation by the developer community, leading to the product’s eventual demise.
                  Oracle is famous for making hard-nosed decisions around the cost benefits of investments, noted Al Hilwa, IDC’s program director of applications development software. “There is no question that they have to figure out how to better monetize the Sun software assets in the future to take what was basically an underperforming software business into a money generator,” he said.
                   For users of Solaris, this is a plus because solid monetization is the secret to longevity, Hilwa observed. “However, there is a balancing act that Oracle has to weigh, since open source can help keep a developer community active and alive,” he explained.
                   Hilwa thinks it will be interesting to see how all this plays out. “Developers are watching carefully how Oracle handles the Java assets, but may view Solaris as of considerably less consequence than the broader Java line,” Hilwa said.

Java To Flourish
By contrast, Sun’s Java products appear poised to continue to flourish. In a recent report on Oracle’s road map for Java, IDC estimated that Java will maintain a close and busy relationship with eight million developers worldwide — right across its many varieties and supported form factors. IDC analysts also note that Oracle has forged its entire software strategy around the Java platform.
For example, the business software maker has anchored the architecture of its next-generation packaged Fusion applications around a Java-based application and integration platform middleware called Oracle Fusion Middleware. Additionally, IBM has had a long-term and long-running Java license that protects it for the next 10 years.
“What is at stake with the Oracle ownership and control over Java is not whether Java will be invested in or evolved, which is a certainty,” wrote report authors Hilwa, Maureen Fleming, and Melinda-Carol Ballou. The main question Oracle faces is “whether Java can be evolved in a way that broadens its appeal and keeps it competitive and compelling against the steady onslaught of new languages, platform technologies, and programming metaphors,” they wrote.
There is no doubt that the future success of Java is fundamental to the success of Oracle as a vendor of anything other than databases, the report’s authors observed. “In fact, IDC believes that Oracle’s new strategic initiatives in middleware and applications are more dependent on the viability of Java than was Sun Microsystems’ strategy prior to the acquisition,” they added.

Google enabled a new Feature for its Orkut and iGoogle users.Now you can send unlimited files and folders to your friends through Google, Orkut Chat. There is no restriction on the file type or size and the peer-to-peer transfer is fast and reliable.
You can now use the chat feature to send photos, documents and other files directly to your contacts. More importantly, though, Google also announced that it plans to finally bring this file transfer functionality to Gmail’s built-in chat feature. Right now, if you want to transfer a file to your Google contacts, you either have to email them the file or use the Google Talk desktop app or a compatible instant messaging client.

To do so,you should click on Send a File..In Action Menu during the Chatting..

Now..Google is also providing file sharing that Google users are really missing from awhile.Soon,we can hope that Google will provide this facility in GMail.So,Enjoy your Files and Folders with your friends…
